EWMI’s Solidarity with Ukraine – Small Grants Program

In late March 2022, EWMI established the Solidarity with Ukraine – Small Grants Program to provide funding and networking support to: (i) civil society organizations (CSOs) still operating in Ukraine; (ii) operating Ukrainian CSOs that have moved to neighboring countries; and (iii) CSOs in Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Moldova that are addressing the impact of the war in Ukraine.

To maximize its effectiveness, the Solidarity with Ukraine – Small Grants Program will prioritize initiatives and groups that might not attract the needed level of support, such as Roma, women heads of households, LGBTI persons, academics, the elderly, as well as legal representation for the refugees.

These small grants will serve as seed funding to support short-term interventions, up to 6 months, and EWMI will encourage and support its grantees to raise funds to continue or/and expand the activities supported by EWMI. EWMI plans to award the grants and disburse the funds from April 1 – September 30, 2022. EWMI will award these grants quickly as targeted grants and it has begun working with its partners in Central Europe to identify suitable potential grantees.

If you would like to support this program, please visit our DONATION PAGE and type Ukraine in the designation field. If you would prefer to pay by check, please send to 575 Madison Avenue, Suite 702, New York, NY 10022.
