Suriname

The East-West Management Institute (EWMI) was awarded a fixed-price sub-contract by Economic Transformations Group, Inc. to assist in developing a competitiveness enhancement program for Suriname. Challenges facing Suriname include the need for industrial diversification beyond key natural resource sectors, employment generation in the private sector, and improving the general business environment and investment attractiveness in which the country ranks poorly according to World Bank and other international benchmarks.
